My favourite author of all time is the American author John Green. I
have read his book “The Fault in Our Stars” and I thought it was an amazing
book. Here are some facts about him.
John Green was born August 24th 1977 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
He is only 37 years old, but is known as the bestselling American author of
young adult fiction. Furthermore, the book “The Fault in Our Stars” reached
number one on a New York Times bestseller list in 2012, according to Wikipedia.
Green also won the 2006 Printz Award for his debut novel “Looking for Alaska”.
In addition to being a very successful author, Green is also known for
his channel on YouTube called “vlogbrothers”. In 2007, he began a video blog
project called “Brotherhood 2.0”. He created the channel with his brother Hank
Green. The two of them decided that they were going to stop using all
text-based communication with each other throughout a whole year. Instead
they would exchange video blogs, also known as “vlogs”, with each other by
posting them on their own website and on YouTube. However, the video blogs turned
out to be very popular and because they got such good feedback and had so many
supporters and fans all over the country, they decided to keep their channel
and continue the project. Even though they don’t make videos every day anymore,
they still upload new videos every week.
Today, John Green lives in Indianapolis with his wife, Sarah Urist
Green. Together they have a son and a daughter – Henry Atticus Green and Alice
Green. They also have a dog called Fireball Wilson Roberts, also known as Bubbles,
Bubbles the Nerdfighting Puppy or just Willy.
John Green writes books for teenagers and young adults. Most of his
books are love stories, but what I like about them is that they are not the
typical clichés. That makes the stories more interesting, in my opinion. If you
are the type of person who likes reading books like this, I really recommend
one of John Green’s books.

I love John Green too, and I totally agree with his books not being cliché. Well done, Green. However, I did not know about this vlogging thing between him and his brother. That's very creative of them!
